Darshan Thoogudeepa's drivers went for shopping after murdering Renukaswamy, reveals probe
Bengaluru/IBNS: Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa's two drivers went shopping after the murder of 33-year-old Renukaswamy, the probe into the Karnataka murder case revealed as media reports say.
Nagaraj and Lakshman- Darshan's spare drivers- went to Reliance Trends apparel showroom at RR Nagar on June 9 morning after the dead body of Renukaswamy was dumped in a drain in Kamakshipalya.
The two bought a hoodie for Raghavendra, who turned out to be one of the fall guys.
A grey-coloured hoodie was bought for Raghavendra to hide his tattoo featuring Darshan to avoid any suspicion about the actor's involvement in the case.
Police took both the drivers to the Reliance Store to reconstruct the scene and recorded their statements besides checking the CCTV footage.
Darshan, his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda and 11 others have so far been arrested in connection with the murder of Renukaswamy.
According to police, the victim had posted an objectionable comment on Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda's Instagram handle accusing her of causing a rift between Thoogudeepa and his wife Vijaya Lakshmi.
This happened after Pavithra posted an Instagram video celebrating his 10-year relationship with Darshan, who has been married to Vijaya Lakshmi for 20 years.
Darshan's aides reportedly carried Renukaswamy in a taxi from Chitradurga to their Bengaluru hideout where they tortured the victim to death.
After allegedly beating to death, Renukaswamy's body was dumped in a stormwater drain at an area which falls under Kamakshipalya Police Station.
Police reportedly got to know from a food delivery man who saw a dog eating the body of the victim.
