Deeply appreciate Bhutan King's vision about strengthening the unique partnership with India in future: S Jaishankar

New Delhi: Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday met Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and noted his vision to further strengthen the 'unique partnership' with India is deeply appreciated.

"Deeply privileged to call on His Majesty the King of Bhutan today evening," S Jaishankar tweeted.

"His Majesty’s vision for Bhutan’s future and for strengthening the unique partnership with India is deeply appreciated," he said.

The King arrived in India on Monday.

He will be visiting India from Apr 3 to Apr 5.

" During the visit, His Majesty the King of Bhutan will meet with the President of India and the Prime Minister. The External Affairs Minister and senior officials will call on His Majesty the King of Bhutan," read the statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs earlier.
