Delhi: Fire breaks out at cloth godown, 9 dead

New Delhi/UNI/IBNS: A fire broke out at a cloth godown in Delhi's Kirari area on Sunday and left at least nine people dead.

"We received an intimation of the fire incident at 0023 hrs after which 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot", a fire department official told UNI.

The blaze was doused off at 0350 hrs.

Apart from the 9 dead, three persons are injured in the incident.
They are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

This is the second fire incident in the national capital after a massive fire killed 43 people in a four-storey building in Anaj Mandi on December 8.
