New Delhi, Dec 22 (IBNS): Delhi police arrested at least five people, including four minors, for allegedly gang-raping a 22-year-old lady, reports said.

The incident took place in the national capital's Jahangirpuri area on Wednesday evening.

"The woman and one of the juveniles had recently become friends. He invited her to a party at his home in E-block, Jahangirpuri, on Wednesday evening. When the woman arrived, the juvenile’s four friends were already there," The Indian Express quoted a senior police officer as saying.

The police added that the victim was violated for over five hours at knife point.

After she approached the police, she was taken to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital, where medical examination confirmed she was raped, the officer added.

One among the five perpetrators is a 22 year-old, who was produced before a city court on Thursday.

He has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody in Tihar jail.

The minors have been sent to correction home, following orders from a juvenile court.
