New Delhi/IBNS: Over 40 schools on Monday received bomb threats forcing the administrations of the educational institutions to send back students home as a safety measure, media reports said.

The schools that received the threats over mails include DPS RK Puram, GD Goenka School in Paschim Vihar.

According to police, GD Goenka School was among the firsts to receive the threat.

GD Goenka School received the threat at 6:15 am and then DPS RK Puram at 7:06 am.

The email has been quoted by NDTV, "The bombs are small and hidden very well."

"It will not cause very much damage to the building, but many people will be injured when the bombs detonate. You all deserve to suffer and lose limbs."

Cops, fire officials, dog squad and bomb detection squad rushed to the spot.

Former Delhi chief minister and ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal has lashed out at union home minister Amit Shah as the central government controls the law and order of the national capital.

Kejriwal said, "I want to ask Amit Shah, what's happening in Delhi? Would he agree that he is unable to manage Delhi? Who should people of Delhi go for security? Do women feel safe in Delhi?"
