New Delhi/IBNS: In a massive multi-state operation, the special cell of Delhi Police has busted a terror module and arrested six terrorists of whom two had recently returned after training in Pakistan, media reports said on Tuesday.

The arrested terrorists had planned to carry out blasts across several parts of the country especially during the upcoming festival seasons, NDTV citing officials from Delhi Police reported.

The special cell of Delhi Police launched an operation across three states- Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh- on receiving alerts about the terror module by various agencies.

"During a raid in the morning, a terrorist from Maharashtra was arrested in Rajasthan's Kota. Three were arrested with the help of UP Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) while two others were caught in Delhi," Neeraj Thakur, a senior official of the Special Cell, told NDTV.

While interrogating the arrested terrorists, the team learnt that two of them had travelled to Muscat from where they were ferried to Pakistan on a boat.

In Pakistan, they were kept at a farmhouse for 15 days, during which they were trained to operate firearms, the officer told the channel.
