New Delhi, Nov 14 (IBNS): In the wake of the Centre's decision to discontinue the old Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has decided to suspend the collection of parking charges at all airports till midnight of Nov 21.

This has been done in order to facilitate the smooth movement of passengers.

The government earlier in the day declared that old 500 and 1000 Indian Rupee notes, which it demonetised on Nov 8, shall be valid till Nov 24.

The old notes will be accepted by hospitals, petrol pumps/gas stations and toll booth, according to the new decision.

The government also increased the daily ATM withdrawal limit from Rs. 2000 to 2500 and the exchange amount from Rs. 4000 to 4500.

It also said that the ATM machines will filled with new currency notes from Monday and the facility can be availed in most ATM's by Wednesday.

The Prime Minister also held a meeting on late night Sunday to take stock of the prevailing situation.
