Don't be afraid to take China's name: Rahul Gandhi's jibe at PM Modi
New Delhi/IBNS: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for misleading citizens on the row with China after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made a statement in the Parliament saying China "does not recognise the current boundary (Line of Actual Control)" and had attempted to transgress it.
Rahul said the Prime Minister should not be afraid of taking China's name.
In a tweet in Hindi, Rahul wrote: "It is clear from the statement of the Defence Minister that Modiji has misled the people of the country on China's encroachment. Our nation has always stood by the Indian Army and shall do the same in future. But Modiji, when will you stand up to China?"
"When will you take back our land from China? Don't be afraid of taking the name of China," the Congress MP wrote.

Rahul Gandhi has been attacking the Centre and PM Modi over the stand-off with China since the time of Ladakh clash along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on June 15.
His remark on Tuesday has particular reference to Modi's statement at an all-party meeting in June days after the deadly clash with Chinese troops at the Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh which left 20 Indian soldiers martyred.
In the statement, Modi had said, "Neither anyone got inside our territory nor is any of our post captured."
Gandhi had earlier even claimed that PM Modi is afraid of the Chinese.
On Tuesday, giving a strong message to China, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said in the Parliament that Beijing does not recognise the traditional and customary alignment of the boundary.
"We consider that this alignment is based on well established geographical principals," Singh said amid rising tension between the two neighbouring nations.
He said: "Violent conduct of Chinese troops is a violation of all past agreements."
