ED raids AAP leader Raaj Kumar Anand's residence in money laundering case

New Delhi/UNI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the residence of Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raaj Kumar Anand in connection with the alleged money laundering, sources said on Thursday.

Raids are underway and started early Thursday morning. Anand is a Cabinet Minister in the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government and an MLA from Patel Nagar.

Reacting to the raid, Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said during the British era even the British police needed a warrant to go to someone’s house, but on Thursday, ED itself decided to go to a raid without a warrant.

Hitting out at the saffron party, Bharadwaj alleged that every day there is news of big BJP scams but no action on those leaders.

“Every day there is news of big scams by the BJP. Why doesn’t ED visit any BJP chief minister or minister?” he alleged.

The most recent development occurred on the same day that the ED called Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal to appear in person regarding the purported liquor policy scam.

Kejriwal skipped the ED summons on Thursday.
