New Delhi, Aug 4 (IBNS) : The Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation has issued a lookout notice against Karthi Chidambaram, the son of former Union finance minister P Chidambaram, in the INX media case, CNN News18 reported.

According to reports,  Karti moved the Madras High Court to know whether any such notice was issued against him. However, the Assistant Solicitor General sought time to seek more time.

The petition was heard in the Madras High Court and the matter was adjourned to Monday after more clarifications were sought from the central Government.

Meanwhile, Times Now reported that the lookout notice was issued against Karthi Chidambaram a few days back for not appearing for hearing in the INX case. It came to light only on Friday after the petition was heard in the Madras High Court.

CBI officials on May 16 had conducted searches in the premises of  P Chidambaram and his son in Tamil Nadu as well as other states in connection with the alleged favours granted in FIPB clearance to a firm.

Raids were also carried out in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Gurugram.
