Eleven dead as building collapses in Mumbai

Mumbai/UNI: At least 11 people were killed while seven others were injured after a three-storey building collapsed in Malvani area of Malad West here late on Wednesday night

According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the incident occurred last night at Malwani Gate no. 8. when a portion of the second and third floor of a residential building collapsed on an adjacent one-storey hut.

As per latest report, the rescue operation is being carried out and the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.

Notably, the city was battered by heavy monsoon rains on Wednesday that could have possibly led to the unfortunate incident.
