End Mamata rule from West Bengal: Amit Shah urges people

Jaynagar (West Bengal), May 13 (IBNS): Training his guns against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Monday urged people of the state to end the Trinamool Congress rule.

Shah made the comment while campaigning for his party in West Bengal's Jaynagar.

"End the Mamata rule. This is my appeal ahead of the last phase of Lok Sabha polls," Shah said.

Shah on Monday attacked not only Banerjee but her nephew and Trinamool's Diamond Harbour candidate Abhishek Banerjee accusing the latter of being involved in extortion.

"Extortion, syndicate and violence have made people disgusted of Trinamool's rule," Shah said.

Also he brought up the issue of illegal immigrants saying, "The Trinamool government depends upon the votes of illegal immigrants."

Earlier, BJP said it had to cancel Shah's rally in West Bengal's Jadavpur constituency for Trianamool government's denial of permission.

In that context, Shah said: "The Trinamool government has cancelled my rally. Whether they allow me to speak or not, people of West Bengal have made up their mind to oust Trinamool. People here are with BJP."

The rally was scheduled to be held in Baruipur, which falls under the Jadavpur constituency.

Reportedly, the land owner has withdrawn its permission to hold the rally.

The BJP and Trinamool have been at the loggerheads throughout the election season with the saffron brigade eyeing on to gain big in West Bengal.
