Srinagar, June 16 (IBNS): In an interesting tweet about the high-voltage World Cup group stage match between India and Pakistan, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday said  people had the right to cheer the team they believed in.

"May the best team win in today’s vs cricket match. Every individual has the right to cheer for whichever team they believe in. So let’s be civil about it," Mufti tweeted.

Pakistan never defeated India in the history of the World Cup championship so far.

A match between the two neighbouring nations have always been attached with sentiments of fans on both the sides of the border.

India have posted 305 runs for the loss of four wickets so far in the match till rain hit the game in the 46.4th over of the clash.

Rohit Sharma played a majestic innings of 140 runs.
