External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wishes Bangladesh on National Day

New Delhi: India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday wished people of Bangladesh on National Day.

S Jaishankar tweeted: " Congratulate FM@AKAbdulMomenand the Government & people of Bangladesh on their National Day."

"Jointly celebrating #MujibBorsho, Golden Jubilee of Liberation War & 50 years of our diplomatic ties. PM @narendramodi ’s presence in Dhaka today is a testimony of our unbreakable bond," he said.

Meanwhile, Indian PM Narendra Modi will commence his two-day Bangladesh visit on Friday.

This is his first trip to a foreign nation following the COVID-19 imposed lockdown.  

On his first day in the neighbouring country, Modi will participate in the National Day celebrations, which will also commemorate the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Modi will also offer prayers at the ancient Jashoreshwari Kali Temple, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths in the Puranic tradition.Modi will be visiting Bangladesh on March 26-27 at the invitation of PM Sheikh Hasina.
