Kolkata/IBNS: A minor fire on Monday broke out at the food court in Kolkata's Acropolis Mall.

The fire broke out at a momo outlet at around 10:40 am.

The fire was doused by the staff who used the fire extinguishers.

Though fire tenders were rushed to the spot, they were not required as the fire was controllable.

"Our mall team promptly used fire extinguishers to control the situation. Operations have now resumed, and the mall is safe and secure," said Subhadip Basu, Corporate General Manager - Hospitality & Mall.

Earlier in June, a major fire broke out at Crossword in the mall, which is located in the Kasba area.

The fire had forced the mall to remain closed till early August.
