Fire breaks out in Mumbai high-rise where Deepika Padukone resides, no injury

Mumbai, June 13 (IBNS): A major fire broke out at a Mumbai highrise, where actress Deepika Padukone resides, leaving fire fighters working hard to douse the flame on Wednesday.

At least 10 fire engines, two quick response vans and five water tankers have reached the spot of the fire.

According to reports, the fire was first spotted at around 2 pm.

Fire has reportedly damaged the 33rd floor of the building.

No injury has been reported so far.

The cause of the fire is still not known.

Mumbai Police said its staff and fire department officials are currently at the spot.

Mumbai Police tweeted: " Our staff & Fire Brigade is on the spot for assistance. They are trying their best to douse the fire and provide necessary help to people there."

More than 90 people have been evacuated from the building so far.

Deepika's residence is located in one of the floors of the 34-storey building.

Her office is also located in another storey of the building, reports said.

She was reportedly not present in the residence when the fire broke out.
