Geetesh Sharma Memorial Committee organises voluntary blood donation camp

Kolkata: A voluntary blood donation camp was organized by Geetesh Sharma Memorial Committee on Sunday in Kolkata. 

More than 100 voluntary blood donors donated their blood at the camp set up at Momin High School near Raja Bazar.

Several writers, poets, teachers, students, intellectuals were present on the occasion. Joransako MLA Vivek Gupta hailed the organisers for the event and sent his best wishes for its success.

While inaugurating the camp the  dignitaries highlighted the tireless social service of Geetesh Sharma and said that he always had a soft corner for the underprivileged section of the society and was always ready to extend his valuable material help to it from time to time.

Others who spoke on the occasion included social activist Amalesh Dasgupta, Poet Amitava Chakraborti, Technocrat Bimal Sharma, senior drama critic Prem Kapoor, Socio-political activist Arvind Kori, Poet Shahid Hussain Shahid.
