Girl ‘sacrificed’ in Upper Assam by a Tantrik to trace a lost mobile phone

Guwahati, Nov 1 (IBNS) : A sensational report came to light in oil rich Upper Assam as a 4-year old girl was allegedly beheaded and offered as sacrifice by a ‘Tantrik’ (witch doctor) to trace a lost mobile phone.

The incident took place at Ratnapur tea estate in Upper Assam’s Charaideo district.

The body of the minor girl who missing since Oct 24, was recovered from forest area near the tea estate on Monday.

Police recovered her severed head and arms from the forest area.

Charaideo district police said that, the minor girl belonging to Adivasi community was allegedly beheaded and sacrifice by the ‘Tantrik’ to trace a lost mobile phone of Hanuman Bhumij’s daughter.

“The Tantrik said that he have able to trace the lost mobile and asked offered prayer to Maa Kali,” a family member of the minor girl said.

The main accused, who was identified as Tantrik Abdul Jalil, is still absconding but police had arrested Bhumij and another accused Ariful Ali.
