Goa govt uses racial slur for African national in official document

Panaji, Aug 21 (IBNS): The Goa government is once again under fire for using a racial offensive term while referring to an African national in an official document.

According to reports, the term was was used in an annexure submitted to the state assembly while referring to an African national arrested in the beach village of Calangute on May 8 as an 'unknown African Negro'.

The document was submitted during the monsoon session of the assembly on Wednesday along with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar's written reply.

The opposition Congress reportedly plans to hold the BJP government accountable.
