Goa: Ramesh Tawadkar joins BJP

| @indiablooms | Feb 25, 2019, at 07:27 pm

Panaji, Feb 25 (UNI/IBNS): Former Goa Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Margaon in South Goa on Monday.

It was like 'Ghar Wapasi' for Tawadkar as he had left Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of assembly elections in 2017 and contested the polls as an independent candidate.

He joined the party in the presence of BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, Goa Unit BJP President and Rajya Sabha member Vinay Tendulkar, among others.

Tawadkar had left BJP as he was denied ticket to contest the assembly elections in 2017.

He had been critical of state leadership after he lost the assembly elections.
