Gujarat may get new CM by May 20
Ahmedabad, May 13 (IBNS) With Narendra Modi all set to become the next Prime Minister of the country, his successor in Gujarat is likely to be announced by May 20, said reports on Tuesday.
According to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sources, Modi will hold a meeting with party MLAs in Gandhinagar on Tuesday evening on the issue.
Gujarat revenue minister Anandiben Patel is one of the top contenders for the post, said sources.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) might get a majority in the Lok Sabha, exit poll said.
According to the India Today Group-Cicero exit poll the BJP-led NDA might get 261-283 seats while the ruling Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) might get 110 to 120 seats and others get 150 to 162 seats.
