Happy birthday to 'Suit-Boot' govt: Rahul's dig at Modi

| | May 27, 2015, at 03:08 am
Kozhikode, May 26 (IBNS): With the Narendra Modi government completing one year in office at the Centre, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi wished the 'Suit-Boot Sarkar' happy birthday at a rally in Kerala's Kozhikode wrapped in sarcasm on Tuesday.

"On behalf of the Congress party, I would like to officially wish the 'suit-boot' government a happy birthday," Gandhi said during a public rally here.

He also launched a scathing attack on Modi over the 'name-striped' suit he had worn in January this year, when US President Barack Obama visited India.

The Congress leader also attacked the PM again for his foreign visits and on the government's land reforms.

Promoting his party, he said, "The Congress party believes in protecting the interest of each and every people in the country regardless of poor or rich he is."
