Himachal Pradesh: Three nabbed with bag of opium

Shimla, Oct 14 (UNI) Three people were arrested after a bag of opium was recovered from them, police said on Monday.

DSP Shimla Parmod Shukla confirmed that a police party intercepted a Maruti car bearing Punjab number and recovered 653 gram opium from the vehicle on Sunday evening.


Accused were identified as Prem and Kamal and Suresh.


Case was registered under section 18, 61 & 85 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.


The case is under investigation, said police.
