#HumWapasAayenge trends on Twitter as Kashmiri Pandits reiterate their pledge to return
New Delhi/IBNS: After 30-years of their mass exodus from Kashmir Valley, the Kashmiri Pandits are reiterating their pledge to return to their homeland with the hashtag #HumWapasAayenge.
As more and more Kashmiri Hindus joined the campaign to narrate the dialogoue "Hum Aayenge Apne Watan" from an upcoming movie, ''Shikara'', the hashtag #HumWapasAayenge began trending on twitter.
Shikara - The Untold Story of Kashmiri Pandits, which is set to release next month, is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra under his own banner, Vinod Chopra Films.The film is based on the Kashmiri pandit exodus from Kashmir.
On Jan 9, 1990, Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave their land following a bloody campaign launched by Pakistan-supported terrorists to ethnically cleanse the Valley.
Despite being ruthlessly ousted from their homeland, Kashmiri Pandits have persistently yet peacefully demanded attention from the governments at the Centre to reclaim their rightful place in the Valley.
Taking to Twitter, Kashmiri theatre artist Chandan Sandhu pointed out the "unimaginable resilience" his community has shown over the last three decades.
"As Kashmiri Pandits complete 30 years in exile this weekend, let our cry for justice be finally noticed. We have shown unimaginable resilience, and today we resolve to return home. Kashmiri Pandit friends: please record this video statement and put it up with #HumWapasAayenge," Mr Sadhu tweeted.

Several personalities from the community--journalist Rahul Pandita, radio personality Khushboo Mattoo and political commentator Sunanda Vashisht- took to twitter to narrate the dialogoue.

Journalist Rahul Pandita tweeted: "30 years of exile from Kashmir. Let us now pledge that we will return home."
