Chandigarh/IBNS: JJP chief Dushyant Chautala, whose party might become the deciding factor in forming the next Haryana government in case of a hung assembly, said he is neither the king nor the king-maker.

Chautala said, "I am neither the king nor the king-maker but I am here to serve people."

As per the last update, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in 36 seats as opposed to Congress' 33 while the JJP is leading in 10 seats in the 90-member assembly.

Meanwhile, Haryana Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda has urged all the non-BJP parties to unite and form the next government.

"I urge all the non-BJP parties to come together and form the next state government," Hooda said.

BJP state president Subhash Barala has stepped down from his party post amid the counting of votes.
