I had excellent meetings with various world leaders: Modi says on SCO Summit

New Delhi, June 10 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said he had 'excellent meetings' with world leaders during the   Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)  meeting in China.

"The SCO Summit in Qingdao was marked by extensive and fruitful deliberations. I had excellent meetings with various world leaders as well. I thank the people of China and President Xi Jinping for hosting the Summit," Modi tweeted.

Modi has left for India.

" Zàijiàn! After a historic participation in SCO Summit and multiple bilateral meetings in Qingdao, PM @narendramodi emplanes for Delhi," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

This was the first time India is participating in the event as a full member.

Apart from attending the summit, Modi also met several world leaders including Chinese President Xi Jinping.

He also shook hand with Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday after a press conference by the leaders of the SCO.
