New Delhi: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday thanked  Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates for his words of appreciation on his monthly radio address "Mann Ki Baat".

"I thank my friend @BillGates for his words of appreciation. #MannKiBaat reflects the collective spirit of the people of India to make our planet better, something Mr. Gates is also passionate about. The strong resonance with SDGs is highlighted well in the study by @BMGFIndia," Modi tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday addressed the 100th episode of his monthly radio talk "Mann Ki Baat", which was aired globally.

The programme featured guests who had appeared in earlier episodes of the talk, with the PM interacting with them about the progress they have made.

In his opening remarks, PM Modi said: "Mann Ki Baat is a reflection of 'Mann Ki Baat' of crores of Indians, it is an expression of their feelings."

He thanked the people of the country for making it a huge success.

"Mann Ki Baat has been a catalyst in igniting numerous mass movements, be it 'Har Ghar Tiranga' or 'Catch the Rain', Mann Ki Baat has enabled mass movements to gain momentum," he said.
