IMD warns of heavy rainfall in Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal tomorrow

New Delhi, July 12 (IBNS): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued severe weather warning stating that states of West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand among others will receive heavy rainfall on Thursday.

In a statement marking the date of Thursday, the IMD noted that: "Heavy to very heavy rain with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh; heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places over Konkan & Goa; heavy rain very likely at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Gujarat state and Madhya Maharashtra."

The IMD statement also forecast heavy rains over Saurashtra and Kutch on Friday.

It stated that heavy to very heavy rain are likely to be experienced in East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Konkan & Goa.
