New Delhi/UNI: Indian and Pakistani military officers held a meeting on Friday along the Line of Control in Kashmir weeks after both countries announced ceasefire along the LoC, the Pakistani army said.

The Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistan army, in a statement said that the meeting took place at Rawalakot-Poonch Crossing Point to discuss implementation mechanism as per the understanding of the Director Generals of the armies of the two countries.

"Post the DGsMO understanding 2021, a Brigade Commander level flag meeting was held between India and Pakistan Army at Rawalakot - Poonch Crossing Point on 26th March 2021 to discuss implementation mechanism as per understanding," the ISPR said.

Last month, the two neighbours had agreed to strict observance of all agreements, understandings and cease firing along the LoC and all other sectors.

Both sides had reiterated that existing mechanisms of hotline contact and border meetings will be utilised to resolve any unforeseen situation or misunderstanding.
