Kolkata, Jul 18 (IBNS): Police on Monday late night arrested three youths for attacking Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami's house in southern Kolkata over car parking, reports said.

According to reports, one drunken biker had started arguing with Mohammed Shami over car parking at around 11:30 pm.

Soon the man returned to Shami's house at southern Kolkata's Prince Gulam Mohammed Shah Road area with more 3-4 men and they forcibly tried to enter the cricketer's place.

"Besides throwing abusive words to me, they threatened me and my family. They tried to enter my residence and assaulted my apartment's security guard," Mohammed Shami told IBNS.

"I'm scared after the incident and concerned about the safety of my family," Shami added.

After being informed, police from nearby Jadavpur Police Station rushed to the scene and based on CCTV footage, they booked three persons in connection with the case.

They have been identified as Shiba Pramanik, Jayanta Sarkar and Saurav Sarkar.

The trio, however, was produced in a local court on Tuesday and all were granted bail.
