Indian Youth Congress holds protest march in Delhi against BJP

New Delhi, Jul 9 (UNI) Indian Youth Congress organized a protest near the Parliament House on Tuesday against the BJP , alleging that the party in power in the centre was trying to topple the Congress-JD(S) government in Karnataka.

The protesters headed towards the Parliament House beginning form the IYC headquarters here at Raisina Road , however,they were stopped tby the police before they could reach the Parliament House.


"We are here to protest against undemocratic practices of BJP and to stop this blatant 'horse-trading' in the history of Indian Democracy," said Srinivas B V Indian Youth Congress Vice- President.


''BJP used same dirty tactics in Goa in the recent past and now they're trying to do the same in Karnataka," the IYC alleged.


When the protestors tried to move towards the Parliament House , after warning , the police detained the agitating Youth Congress workers for a while at the Parliament Street Police station.


Similar kind of silent protest are being organised against the alleged corrupt practices by the BJP all over the country by the respective student wings of the Congress in the states.
