Patna, Jul 9 (UNI) Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey today said that city-based Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology (IGIC) would be equipped with latest gadgets for treatment and would be shifted to new building in six months.

Replying to a short notice question of RJD member Ramchandra Purve in the state legislative council, Mr Pandey said that IGIC would be shifted to new building and it would be equipped with modular operation theatre and other latest facilities. He said that tenders had been invited for purchase of new equipment.

The health minister said three treadmills were presently available at IGIC where patients from Bihar and neighbouring Nepal were being treated. Out of three treadmills, only one treadmill was operational, he said, adding that director had been asked to repair two non-functional treadmills at the earliest.
