International Women's Day: PM Narendra Modi salutes indomitable Nari Shakti

New Delhi: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Monday wished the eves of the nation on International Women's Day.

He said  India takes pride in the many accomplishments of the women of the country.

He tweeted: " Saluting our indomitable #NariShakti on International Women's Day! India takes pride in the many accomplishments of the women of our nation. It is our Government’s honour to be getting the opportunity to work towards furthering women empowerment across a wide range of sectors."

  The first International Women's Day occurred in 1911, supported by over one million people.
