ITBP to deploy women officers to combat duty at the high-altitude posts

New Delhi, Oct 27 (IBNS) ITBP chief Krishna Choudhary on Tuesday said in the coming days women personnel will be deployed in combat duties at the high -altitude posts.

They might be deployed along the Indo-China border.

He said a special contingent of 500 women officers are undergoing training for the purpose.

Choudhary told  media that  it was the first time that women personnel will be deployed in  full combat role at the border.

He said he aims to see women  working shoulder-to-shoulder with men in the force.
