J Jayalalithaa: Arun Jaitley,Amit Shah visit hospital

Chennai. Oct 12 (IBNS): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and BJP President Amit Shah on Wednesday visited a Chennai hospital to enquire about the condition of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday.

"Visited Apollo hospital Chennai today. I wish J Jayalalithaa Ji, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu a speedy recovery," Jaitley tweeted.

Wishing the Chief Minister speedy recovery, Shah said: "Visited Apollo Hospital in Chennai to enquire about the health of Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa Ji. I wish and pray for her speedy recovery."

  Chief minister and AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa was admitted to hsopital on September 22 with complaints of fever and dehydration, media reported.

On Tuesday, the ministerial portfolios handled by the CM was handed over to the state's Finance Minister O Panneerselvam.

" Portfolios looked after by Honourable Amma have been allocated to Finance Minister O. Panneerselvam on the advice of Puratchi Thalaivi Amma," tweeted AIADMK.

Seeveral political leaders including Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi and Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, DMK leader MK Stalin and Governor of Kerala P Sathasivam and Kerala Chief Minister have visited the hospital on various days to inquire about her health, reported the media.
