Jammu and Kashmir: Ex-gratia relief sanctioned in favour of militancy affected families

Srinagar/UNI: Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned ex-gratia relief in favour of 20 militancy affected families in south Kashmir district of Shopian on Wednesday, an official spokesman said Wednesday evening.

He said a meeting of District Level Screening Cum Co-ordination Committee (DLSCC) was held here under the Chairmanship of District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin.

The meeting cleared 20 out of 23 cases taken up for settlement.

He said four cases were cleared for ex-gratia relief and Rs one lakh each was sanctioned among the beneficiaries, while 13 cases were cleared for the benefits under compensate employment and one injured case was also approved by the committee.

Moreover, Rs 6.88 lakh were sanctioned in two property damage cases of the district.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM Zainapora and various officers from Police, Army and CID.
