Jammu and Kashmir: Infiltration bid foiled in Samba sector, BSF nabs injured Pakistani intruder

Jammu/UNI: Alert troops of Border Security Force on Tuesday evening foiled an infiltration bid and captured one intruder in injured condition in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police sources said that BSF troops have successfully foiled an infiltration bid in Banglaid area of Samba.

"BSF troops observed a suspicious movement at around 2115 hours on International Border following which they opened fired," they said adding that one Pak intruder was injured and was accordingly apprehended.

He was later shifted to hospital for treatment, they said.

Meanwhile hospital sources said that he had suffered four bullet shots, adding they said, "as per his statement, he had been to his maternal parents in Jaffarbal (Pakistan)."

He was identified as Asif (27).

"After giving him treatment at Vijaypur Sub District Hospital, he was referred to Jammu GMC," sources added.

However, more details were awaited.
