| @indiablooms | Oct 27, 2023, at 07:55 pm

Two Border Security Force personnel sustained injuries while the border dwellers moved to safer locations after Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing along the International Border here.

A BSF spokesman on Friday stated that during the intervening night of October 26-27, Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing in the Arnia area which was befittingly responded by BSF troops.

"Pakistan Rangers resorted to mortar shelling which was countered by BSF personnel with appropriate response," he said adding that intermittent firing continued till 3 AM.

"One BSF personnel sustained minor injuries in the firing has been provided with medical aid," said the spokesman.

The Border residents, however, shifted to the safer locations to take shelter along with the cattle.

They claimed that some of the cattle also suffered injuries in the cross-border firing.

The activists of National Bajrang Dal also staged a protest against the unprovoked firing by the Pakistan Rangers.
