JD (U) to send to PM one lakh DNA samples of Bihar people
Patna, Sept 4 (IBNS) In an unconventional move that seeks to boost up ethnic sentiment against Narendra Modi in the run up to the Bihar assembly election, the ruling Janta Dal(U) will send around 1 lakh DNA samples to the Prime Minister's residence his residence protesting his "DNA remark" against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Taking to Twitter, the Bihar Chief Minister has said that more than 15 lakh samples of nails and hairs of people of Bihar have been collected as part of the 'Shabd Wapsi' campaign launched by the party.
During a recent election rally, the Prime Minister accused Nitish Kumar of having a record of ditching friends in politics and said there was something wrong in his DNA.
Taking this as an insult to the people of Bihar, the Chief Minister shot back, saying his his “DNA emanates from Bihar's soil”.
"Modi raised question mark over Bihar's DNA and insulted the state. Nothing is wrong with Bihar's DNA, the state has glorious history. My DNA emanates from Bihar's soil. My DNA is the same as that of the people of Bihar," Kumar had said during a rally.
