Jharkhand: Man killed, woman serious as truck hits bike in Dumka

Dumka, Apr 10 (UNI) A person lost his life while a woman sustained serious injuries as a bike on which they were travelling was hit by a speeding truck on the Dumka-Bhagalpur main road under Hansdiha Police Station area of this district.

Police sources today said that the deceased has been identified as Babloo Kapri (35). The man alongwith his sister-in-law was coming from Nonihaat when their bike was hit by a speeding truck at Chandradip village last night in which the duo sustained serious injuries.

The man died while being rushed to the hospital and the woman was referred outside for treatment. The truck driver managed to flee leaving the vehicle behind. Police has sent the body for post-mortem and has seized the truck.
