J&K CM ignores BJP demand, says Ganowpora probe will be taken to its logical conclusion

Srinagar, Jan 29 (IBNS): Even though  her party forged an alliance with Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti not only snubbed the BJP in the State Assembly over their demand for withdrawal of FIR against the Indian Army but also said that the probe will be taken to its logical conclusion.

Two youth, Javaid Ahmed and Suhail Ahmed, were shot dead in Ganowpora village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.

While speaking in the Assembly, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that the J&K Police had advised the Indian Army in advance not to enter Ganowpora village.

“Police had advised the Army not to take thre Ganowpora route. The Army would not be demoralized by registration of single FIR. There can be black sheep in the army also,” she told the House.

Ignoring the demand of her alliance members, Mehbooba Mufti said that the FIR lodged into the “unfortunate” Shopian killings would be taken to its logical end.
