Srinagar, Feb 10 (IBNS): Five militants were killed on Sunday after an encounter broke out with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district, media reports said.

Receiving information about the presence of terrorists, the security forces on Saturday night cordoned the Kellam Devsar area in Kulgam.

While the security forces started search operations in the area, the terrorists opened fire leading to an encounter.

The operation is now over, said reports.

Earlier this week, a district commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror outfit was killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama.
