J&K govt formation: Guv asks PDP, BJP to clear positions

Srinagar, Jan 8 (IBNS): To avert constitutional crises in the state post the demise of Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, the Jammu and Kashmir governor has addressed letters to presidents of the PDP and the BJP about their respective positions regarding formation of the new government.
“Besides being in touch with the leadership of the Coalition Government partners, Governor N.N. Vohra has addressed letters to Ms Mehbooba Mufti, President PDP and Sh. Sat Paul Sharma, President BJP, to urgently inform him about their respective positions regarding formation of the new Government,” said a Raj Bhavan spokesman on Friday.

After death of Mufti Muhammad Syed on Thursday,  it is clear that Governor's rule is likely to be imposed in the state as PDP president Mehbooba Mufti is insisting on not taking oath as the new chief minister before the end of four-day mourning for her father.
