Bilaspur/UNI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda has assured the people of Himachal Pradesh that adequate help would be given to them by the central government to mitigate their sufferings caused by heavy rains and flash floods.

Talking to reporters at Bilaspur last night after a day-long hectic tour of the flood-ravaged areas of Mandi and Kullu districts, Nadda said here last night that the central government has also released the second installment of 181 crore rupees to the HP government.

Nadda said that earlier the central government had released Rs 180 crore in the first installment from the National Disaster Response Fund, and now within a few days the second installment has been released to the state government. Overall, so far, a grant of 361 crores has been issued by the Central Government.

JP Nadda said that he was very worried about the condition of the state, adding that he now wanted to work for the settlement of Himachal. A lot of damage has happened in Himachal.

In Himachal, people's homes and shops have been destroyed in Mandi, Kullu, and Manali.

He said, "I myself have seen this scene, due to which he is very worried. He said that whenever the Himachal government demands or sends anything in relation to this disaster, it will be fulfilled on a priority basis.

"He has also said that he is seeing such a tragedy for the first time in Himachal. It should be noted that due to the tragedy in Himachal, the burden of debt has increased on the Himachal government."

Although the grant being issued by the centre will reduce the burden on the Himachal government somewhere, JP Nadda also talked about providing all possible help to the Himachal government after a complete tour.

JP Nadda also said that Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur will remain in Himachal for a few days. In such a situation, he will keep taking updates on all this loss and disaster. Along with this, whatever possible help is needed, it will be provided by the state government.

On this occasion, Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, BJP State President Rajeev Bindal, former BJP Minister Rajendra Garg, and other BJP leaders and officials were present.
