JU: Another protesting student hospitalized, Partha visits hospital
The student was identified as Aveek Ghosh. He was admitted to KPC Medical College and Hospital.
Another student Shibam Ghosh was admitted to the same hospital on Friday night.
West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee went to KPC Hospital to meet the hospitalized protesters.
He once again requested the students to withdraw their hunger-strike.
But students rejected his proposal and they told that their hunger-strike will continnue until JU Vice-Chancellor Abhijit Chakraborty resigns.
West Bengal Governor Keshrinath Tripathi has expressed his concern over the health conditions of the protesting JU students.
Demanding the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor, some students are on a hunger strike since Monday night and their hunger-strike.
Protesters told that some of their guardians will also join their hunger-strike from Monday.
On Sept 16 last year the VC had called the police to remove protesting students of the university from the main administrative building, leading to a crackdown on them and arrest of 37 students during the night.
The students were protesting against a molestation incident on the campus and demanding an impartial probe into it.
