Kamrup district administration hands over land to Directorate of I&PR

Guwahati, Sept 3 (IBNS) : Kamrup District Administration on Tuesday formally handed over two plots of land to the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Assam.

The lands, measuring 15 bighas and 30 bighas, were handed over for setting up the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Photo and Film Archive and Research Centre and the Lakshminath Bezbaruah Government Institute of Mass Communication and Printing Technology and Research respectively.

In his budget speech on Aug 11, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi had declared that the land has been allotted for the two projects.

Circle Officer of North Guwahati Revenue Circle Jatin Bora handed over the possession of the land to Joint Director, Information & Public Relations, D.N. Loying.
