Karnataka Police chief Praveen Sood to be the next CBI director

New Delhi: Karnataka Police chief Praveen Sood has been selected as the next director of the Central Bureau of Agency. He will take charge after the current CBI chief Subodh Kumar Jaiswal's term ends on May 25.

The Karnataka police chief made news after the state’s Congress chief DK Shivakumar accused him of protecting the ruling BJP and filing cases against Congress leaders.

Shivakumar also demanded Sood’s arrest over his allegations.
