Kashmir: ‘Adopt Shopian/Ganderbal model to attain 100% vaccination’

Srinagar/IBNS: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole today chaired a meeting regarding the Covid-19 vaccination drive in Kashmir division at Divisional Covid-19 Control Room Kashmir.

The meeting was also attended by Incharge and various senior-level officers of Divisional Covid-19  Control Room Kashmir.

On the occasion, the Div Com reviewed the progress achieved in the ongoing vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in the Kashmir division.

He appreciated the efforts put by District Ganderbal and Shopian in achieving a 100 per cent target of vaccination and nearly 90 per cent in the district Bandipora; amongst people  45 years and above.

He also directed the District Administrations of other districts to pace up the vaccination coverage in this age group on a war footing basis.

The Div Com stressed further augmentation in their efforts by involving all the line departments in their districts in order to achieve 100 per cent vaccination coverage by the end of next week to reduce the risk of transmission of this dreadful virus from the Kashmir division.

He also exhorted upon the other districts to emulate the Ganderbal/Shopian model for achieving 100 per cent coverage in their respective districts.
