Kashmir: Youth killed in scuffle over water between 2 villages in Shopian

Srinagar, Apr 8 (UNI) A youth was killed in a scuffle over water between two villages on Monday in south Kashmir district of Shopian.

Official sources said that a heated argument took place between two villages in Shopian on Monday over distribution of irrigation water.

“The argument escalated, resulting in a scuffle, resulting in injuries to a person,” they said.

They said the injured was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead. “Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they added.

After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased, identified as Adfar Ahmad Parra, was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
