Kolkata: Fire breaks out in plastic goods warehouse

Kolkata, Nov 8 (IBNS): A major fire broke out in a plastic goods warehouse at Harimohan Ghosh Road under Garden Reach Police Station limits in Kolkata on Tuesday, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first noticed at around 8:15 am and it spread very fast, as the godown contained flammable objects.

As a petroleum depot is located next to the godown, the incident triggered panic among the locals.

As many as seven fire tenders rushed to the spot and firemen fought for nearly two hours to bring the blaze under control.

Fire department has started investigation into the matter to know the exact reason behind the fire.
